September Day Sailing

Brilliant weather and mild conditions are the rule for us in this month of daysailing. One day featured winds speeds of 6 knots (and under) and made for slow sailing and easy, lazy conditions on the boat. Another day was a “headsail only” day. I flew the jib alone and still averaged 5 knots. A couple of recent photos capture the feel.

Breezy day on the water. One set of sheets to handle was enough. I left the main furled on the boom.

Brilliant weather. I love the light on the water when it looks like this.

Calm sailing - under 3 knots. Cell phone photo captures the feel, not the details.

This calm day on the water was restful to mind and body.
