Another photo from our Port Townsend stay.  This looks like a falmouth cutter to me.  Same sort of design, though I can’t tell if it’s a production glass boat or a wood vessel.  The mast appears to be wood.

The skies have been wonderfully clear this week, affording views of Mount Baker as we vacation in Birch Bay, just a few miles south of Canada.  Here’s one that turned out well:

This is a big file, so sorry for the slow load if you click. Looks like I've got a bit of smudge on the lens too.

    Hey Rick,
Beautiful scenery, looks like a very nice vacation spot.
Wondering if you know what’s up with the Watkins group? Not working on my end, is the group ending?

    • Hi Mike – thanks for the look – we had a great time out west, but home is best.

The Watkins group is still active, but at the moment things seem to be at a low ebb. This happens from time to time when folks don’t have much to talk about, or they get busy. Fall is a busy time of year, typically, and I’ve noticed that conversation drops off around holidays or busy times. It’ll pick back up.

If you are having trouble with the operation of the new format, join the club. It’s a change, and it’s not always intuitive how to make it work like the old application. For the most part, I think the members don’t like the change, didn’t see anything wrong with the old application, but Yahoo didn’t ask us! They just changed it, and we have to go with it, I guess.

      Rick
