As the days begin to lengthen, the cold begins to strengthen.  With consistently colder temps comes frozen water – both in the creek and falling from the sky.  I was up this morning before 0600 and witnessed the snow falling.  After a couple of hours the clouds parted and gave us a beautiful sunny morning.  Here are a few photos to show you the contrast.

Out my back door - 18 degrees f. this morning. The early light and folling snow makes everything appear gray.

Across the creek you can see the snow reduces visibility.

Not exactly the same angle and view, but sun and clear sky transform the scene.

I love watching the water year round.  The boat traffic is always so interesting in spring, summer and fall.  The winter scenery – especially the migratory water fowl – is endlessly fascinating.   I love living on the water.  It makes every day feel like vacation!
