Watkins Rendezvous 2012 Photos

We had three days of touring visiting boats, eating meals together, talking with people about their boats, hosting other folks on our boat.  It was a lot of fun, and very informative too.

Hanging out, watching the action

Just being an on-looker was entertaining

New friends having a great time

It was nice to match names with faces. This is an old on-line friend whom I’d never met in person.

The most cheerful, positive person at the rendezvous!

Food was a prominent feature of the event

Lots of new friends

We watched Paul go up and down his mast, which turned into a group event with all kinds of funny comments, and lots of help too.

It turned out to be quite the spectator sport

More spectators

Lots of helpers and people looking after the safety factor

We also had two wonderful meals together in great restaurants.  All in all, a great time of relaxing and indulging in our hobby.  Then it was Monday morning, and time to go.  0600 arrived, and Paul left the pier.  Another boat was right behind him.  Next was our turn, but several hours later.  Then the last boat finally left not long after that.

Great food and conversation

Looks like a lot of fun!

    • It was a surprising amount of fun. I’m not one to eagerly dive into a group of people I don’t know, but this was good. Really, not one moment of discomfort.

      Thanks for the visit, David!
